After 30 Days as a Full-Time Status Employee:

After 90 days of Hourly Full-Time Status/Exempt Status Employees:

  • Broadmoor Paid Basic Life / Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (Reduced Benefit After Age 70 & 75) - the policy ends the last date of the Group Policy, or upon the transfer date to a non-full time status employee, or on your employment end date.  
  • Term Life Insurance (Full Time Status Employee)
    • You have the Option for Self, Spouse and Eligible Dependents (Reduces Benefit After Age 70 & 75) - the policy ends the last date of the Group Policy, or upon the transfer date to a non-full time status employee, or on your employment end date.  The exception is with the continuation of insurance with premium payment between policy holder and MetLife.

After Six Months:

  • Based on Your Employment Status:
    • Tuition Reimbursement & GED Program (Full Time and Part Time Status)
    • Three Paid Days of Bereavement Leave for Immediate Family (Full Time Status)
    • Paid Vacation (Full Time Status Employee - Policy Stated Below)
  • At the Completion of Six (6) Full Time Months = 40 Vacation Hours
    • After Six (6) Months, a Per Payroll Vacation Accrual is Received Based on Full Time Service Years

After One Year:

  • Depending on Your Employment Status: 
    • Short Term Disability Hotel Paid (Full Time Status) - the policy ends the last date of the Group Policy, or upon the transfer date to a non-full time status employee, or on your employment end date.
    • 401(k) Pre-Tax Plan (Full Time and Part Time Status)
      • Automatic Enrollment at 3% Contribution 
      • Half of the First 6% of Employee Contribution is Matched
      • Fully Vested After Five Years
      • Pre-Tax Deductions
    • Roth 401(k) After Tax
    • Maximum Company Match is 3% Between Pre-Tax 401(k) and Roth 401(k) Option
      • Company Match for Either Plan Goes into the Pre-Tax 401(k) Plan
  • Four Personal Days Earned on Your Anniversary Date of Hire (Full Time Status) or Your Date of a Status Change into a Full Time Status Position
  • Three (3) Paid Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day (Full time Status)

THE BROADMOOR IS A SMOKE/TOBACCO-FREE EMPLOYER:

We provide the necessary tools to assist employees to kick the habit and be tobacco free.

  • WHY? We care about your health and also to provide a clean, productive, and safe environment!
  • WHAT? Employees who wish to smoke or use tobacco must do so during their 30 minutes unpaid meal breaks and must leave Broadmoor property. Employees may not smoke or use tobacco during their paid breaks.
  • WHERE? All areas and properties of The Broadmoor Hotel including The Ranch at Emerald Valley, Cloud Camp, Fly Fishing Camp, UTTR, Eagles Nest Ranch, and any other affiliations to The Broadmoor.
  • WHO? All employees!
